Wizards and Heroes, by Clark Graham
Book Review - 3/5 ⭐⭐⭐ - Fantasy, Middle Grade, Urban
This is a story about a high schooler part time hero named Jason. Wizards and Heroes had a great premise, but I wished the story had more depth. That being said, I realized this story was for a younger audience, and for that age range perhaps the depth is appropriate.
This story did capture my imagination. It told a tale of community rallying support, so I consider it a reasonable story for a younger audience.
Its problems are limited to a headhopping POV and the MC not having great agency (as in he makes few of the critical decisions).
Disagree with my review? Please tell me why. My ears are turned.
"It was then that he noticed he had a sword in his hand, which he thought was odd."
